Our founding partners and Co-CIOs
Stephen Jen and Fatih Yilmaz have worked together for over two decades, including in senior research and currency roles at major investment firms. Their partnership led to the founding of Eurizon SLJ Capital in 2011 and, over the years, to the development of an internationally recognised and trusted research business and a highly skilled investment team.
In November 2025, Eurizon SLJ Capital acquired the investment mandates and talent of Fideuram Asset Management UK, expanding the platform’s capability and capacity. Following that acquisition, Roberto Demartini joined as Co-CIO alongside Stephen and Fatih, supporting the leadership of the expanded investment platform within Eurizon Capital SGR (Intesa Sanpaolo Group).

Across the platform, investment, advisory, and research teams share a strong collaborative ethic, maintaining a constant exchange of views on macroeconomic and monetary themes. The aim is a disciplined flow from research to debate to decision-making, so different perspectives can challenge assumptions and translate conviction into portfolios through clear construction choices and risk oversight.
Based in London, teams bring diverse backgrounds spanning emerging markets, developed-market rates and credit, currencies, equities, multi-asset portfolio construction, and multi-manager oversight. Many investment professionals draw on lived or working experience in relevant markets and, where applicable, language capability, helping the platform combine local context with a global framing of how policy, capital flows and risk cycles shape opportunity sets.
